Equitable Giving Circle

Based in Portland, Oregon. Their mission is to inspire and create economic empowerment through authentic engagement and action within their community. They are a community of people committed to creating Peer-Led, Community-Funded, Transformational change. Their work aims to build immediate and increased equity throughout Portland’s BIPOC communities through a combination of fund development and network building opportunities that center economic equity.

p:ear

Based in Portland, OR p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless youth through education, art, recreation and job training to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives.

p:ear believe’s every young person should have the opportunity to see a life for themselves beyond the most difficult circumstances they face.

Trevor Project

A leading national organization that provides 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young
people under 25. Through legislation, litigation and public education, The Trevor Project is also the leading advocate for LGBTQ youth in preventative efforts that address the discrimination, stigma and other factors that place LGBTQ youth at significantly higher risks of suicide.


Black Mamas Matter Alliance

Based out of Atlanta, Black Mamas Matter Alliance is a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance. They center Black mamas to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice. Their work is grounded in the human rights, reproductive justice, and birth justice frameworks, and incorporates respectful maternity care tenets. The Black Mamas Matter Alliance serves as a national voice and coordinating entity for stakeholders advancing maternal health, rights, and justice. BMMA provides technical assistance, trainings, and capacity building for grassroots organizations, maternity care service providers (e.g. clinicians, midwives, doula networks and community health workers), academia, and the public health industry.

CERF+

THE ARTIST’S SAFETY NET

Based out of Vermont, CERF+ is readiness, relief + resilience for studio artists, ensuring that they are as protected as the work they create.

CERF+ was started by artists for artists in the craft community as a grassroots mutual aid effort in 1985 and has since emerged as the leading nonprofit organization that uniquely focuses on safeguarding artists’ livelihoods nationwide. CERF+ serves artists who work in craft disciplines by providing a safety net to support strong and sustainable careers. Our core services are education programs, advocacy, network building and emergency relief.

*Allison received a Get Ready grant from CERF+ allowing her to purchase a quality ventilation system that emits no pollution into the air.
