Engagement Ring + Wax Carving and Casting Workshop - Original

Engagement Ring + Wax Carving and Casting Workshop - Original
Propose with a 24K recycled gold engagement ring before turning it into a custom piece during a private engagement ring making workshop or design a custom piece together that Allison custom makes for you.
This workshop is perfect for those who know their partner will want to design their own engagement ring, but who still want to propose with a physical object that can be put on the finger.
By purchasing this workshop, customers will receive:
One 24K gold in your partner’s ring size (design as shown in first two photos); with your choice of the final ring to be cast in 14K or 18K recycled yellow, rose, or peach gold.
And one private engagement ring making workshop held in-person in a Portland, Oregon jewelry-maker’s studio OR a custom made engagement ring designed by you and your Partner and made by Allison.
Please note that the cost shown here will NOT be the total cost for your ring. Additional costs may include additional material costs if your design weighs more than .8 grams, whether you decide to go the workshop or custom route, stone costs, stone setting fees, engraving fees, and shipping costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to get my proposal ring? Your proposal ring will be mailed 5 – 7 weeks after your order date. This is because I have to source the desired metal and custom-make the proposal ring. I promise it will be worth the wait!
Can I order the proposal ring in any metal? This listing is for a final ring in yellow, peach, and rose gold rings only. The original ring that is mailed to you must be in 24K gold. If you’d like your engagement ring made of palladium or platinum, please contact me at allison@ringedpdx.com.
How long will it take to get the engagement ring back after our workshop? Casting typically takes 5 - 6 weeks. If you requested other customizations like stone setting or engraving, those features can take around 4 weeks. That means you’ll get your engagement ring anywhere from 6 – 10 weeks after our workshop.
Is this workshop for making one ring or two? This workshop is just making one ring. However, if you and your partner want smaller rings, we can try to stay under the wax weight of 1 gram. You will have to chose which ring receives the safety mold, but another can be purchased! If you’d like to make your wedding bands with Ringed, I’d love to have you during a Make Your Own Wedding Ring Workshop.
Where did you get the idea for this workshop? It’s inspired by my own engagement story, actually. My partner knew that I would want to design my engagement ring, but he also wanted to surprise me with a ring during his proposal. His solution (which was brilliant, if you ask me) was to propose with a simple, pure gold ring that I could later melt down and re-cast into my own custom engagement ring design. And now I offer this idea to you, too!
How soon can I schedule my workshop? All workshops must be scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance of your desired workshop date so we have time to design, and within 14 months of purchase. My standard rescheduling policy applies.
